THE HOME BUYING PROCESS
My goal is to make this process as smooth as possible for you. This is a big purchase but it does not have to be overwhelming. I will be there every step of the way to ensure that the details are taken care of and that you are informed and confident about your purchase.
1) Call me and set up a time to discuss the process. Talk about your needs and neighborhoods you are interested in seeing.
2) Get mortgage pre-approval. Talk to a reputable mortgage lender. Find out what you can afford and how much money you need for the transaction. Pre-approval is based on many things but generally lenders take into account income, credit score, and your assets.
3) Look at properties with me.
4) Write an offer and get the house that you want. I will guide you through the agreement of sale and strategize with you on the offer.
5) Home Inspections. Hire a reputable, licensed home inspector to give you a detailed report on the major systems in the home.
6) Choose your mortgage lender. Shop for the best rate, lowest fees, and best terms for you.
7) Purchase homeowners insurance.
8) Pre-settlement inspection. Walk through the home prior to settlement to ensure the property is in move-in ready condition.
9) Settlement. Receive keys, deed, and possession to your new home!
